Gum Bichromate
The Process: Gum Bichromate is the process of coating paper in a solution of gum arabic to create images on a surface that is both light sensitive, and has the ability to portray depth with different tones. The alternative process of gum bichromate is recognizable by its ability to make photographs illustrated in the process look as though they were watercolored or drawn instead of photographed, due to the physical manipulation of the photograph the process allows the artist working with it.
Early Photographers: Robert Demachy
